ECO ARTS - ECO THERAPIES- ECO ARTS ACTIVISM- NATURE PLAY
ARTISTIC PROCESS - has always been inherently linked to the world around us, from our first musical urges and the making of bone flutes or log drums to the painting of caves and the weaving of baskets, the natural world is source for our raw materials in creative expression. Everything we ever needed came from the creative bosom of the Earth mother and that gave us the foundation upon which to build our life, communities and cultures. We live in an increasingly synthetic age where manufacture provides both opportunity but also waste that can not be adequately recycled and is often toxic, unsustainable and cause of suffering to some 'other' in the larger social or ecological sphere..
IN ECO ARTS PRACTICES - we aim to minimise wastes and toxic materials where possible, recycle, use found objects and innovate considering our larger environmental footprint. In eco arts we seek to work on the relationship between persons, community and place as they are inherently linked. Much of the malady of our day rests at the systemic level, not only the individual level, so we must seek to address the causes at all levels for any real social change to occur. We do so seeking to use our full creative capacity. After all it was our great creativity that manifested the world as it is now, our great creativity can also work to restore balance and harmony.
ECO THERAPIES - are a broad and emerging practice, a modern representation on the role of the shamanistic that engage with the level of indigenous knowledge we all have, at our collective and individual cultural roots. The timeless human legacy of deep knowing that must not be forgotten as we progress further into the scientific age. My particular approach has been distilling over a number of years and involves artistic practice, multi sensory engagement, site specific process, where this is not possible I provide materials and process that immerse person in the archetypal realms of nature through the 5 elements and senses. Tactile, embodied practice, the use of sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, and subtle senses awaken both insight and knowing from the instinctual level often bypassed by and bypassing our social conditioning. We meet the realm of the 'natural human being' and come face to face with our blockages resistances and perceptions about the nature of our individual and collective lived realities.

ECO ARTS ACTIVISM - Seeks to explore the intersection between the artist, artistic practice and ecological justice issues inspired by collective wisdom traditions. Eco Arts Activism specifically uses the arts to speak, challenge, change, heal, and address issues, expressing both the personal and collective hopes and despairs of our current age. The arts are well suited to engage both the heart the head and hands, employing the symbolic/ mythic unconscious and the super conscious realms. It is from here that we all draw wisdom and meaning. Eco Arts can be used to empower the disenfranchised giving voice, power and passion a place and be a voice for much needed social/ environmental action and change.
NATURE PLAY - is a Way of engaging our humanity and corporeal nature to enhance connection to and with the natural world. In this era of the sixth great extinction and the subsuming of attention to the world wide web and electronic media; we need to explore ways to re engage people/ children with the legacy of the natural world that is fast eroding. It is possibly the most critical task we are faced with: the re-establishing relation to and with the World soul. Environment is not a thing, it is not an abstraction, it is not a place, it is a word that seeks to convey all these things, What it really is is 'the home of being, the foundation of life and if we do not redress our relation to it, our future is going to be very different indeed'.

'DEEP SACRED AND HEALING ECOLOGY HEALING THE TREE OF LIFE'
Through sacred contemplative ritual and creative method we will create a ‘World Tree’ to be a focus for our healing intentions and prayers. This will later be used in a semi improvised performance art work/ sacred theater offering at the open mic. All materials provided, though symbolic offerings for around the roots of the tree are welcome. The tree will then remain in the ‘Triple Ecology Community Visioning Space’ for the remainder of the gathering as a place to muse and present the offerings of the collective. The Work will be documented and used on the website. Heal the Tree of Life presented by multi modal artist/ musician & healer Catherine Meeson. It is my hope that a group of people may emerge who are interested in creating a Sacred theater troupe.

TRPLE ECOLOGY- ACOUSTIC ECOLOGY AND AWARENESS OF THE UNIVERSAL ENERGY FIELD
Explore the primordial nature of sound and how it reflects life and impacts upon ecosystem health. Learn about the properties of sound and how it is perceived and behaves, and its affect on living beings. This exploration will differ from last years, as an escorted forest process where we will engage in a Soundwalk and deep listening experience followed by Universal Energy Field explorations.
